What is Confirmation and how do we “become” confirmed?
Confirmation is one of the Sacraments of the Church. When we are confirmed we affirm our faith in God and our desire to serve him all our lives. We take upon ourselves the promises made by our parents and godparents if we were baptised as young children.
The Bishop lays his hands on our heads and prays that God’s Holy Spirit will strengthen and guide us.
